At the heart of Sankara is its founder, Praveen Singh Daspan, a relentless perfectionist with a deep reverence for craft. His pursuit of excellence led him to Florence, where he trained in furniture restoration and gold leafing at the renowned Bottega d’Arte.
Praveen is guided by an enduring appreciation for the finer details of life, the small, often overlooked choices that quietly define quality. Whether it is the cut of a jacket, the balance of a room, or the feel of a well-finished surface, his eye is drawn to what is thoughtful, restrained, and made with care. This sensitivity shapes his work at Sankara, where his keen sense of style and attention to detail inform every decision. Praveen values precision over excess. Beyond design, Praveen brings the same discipline to tennis. He is the key promoter of the annual Jodhpur Open Tennis Tournament, part of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) circuit. Equally central to his life is a quiet commitment to philanthropy, driven by purpose.
